• Σχεδιάζει και υλοποιεί εφαρμοσμένη έρευνα
• Υποβάλλει προτάσεις χρηματοδότησης έργων έρευνας
• Συνεργάζεται με Ερευνητικά Ινστιτούτα, Πανεπιστημιακά Τμήματα, Τομείς και Εργαστήρια Στατιστικής, Πειραματισμού, Ανάλυσης Δεδομένων, Πληροφορικής,  κ.λπ. από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό.
• Εγκαθιδρύει και αναπτύσσει διεθνείς σχέσεις συνεργασίας με επιστημονικούς φορείς από την Ε.Ε., τις Η.Π.Α. και άλλες χώρες.
• Συμμετέχει σε συνέδρια
